What MiningOdds calculates

MiningOdds focuses on hashrate, block probability, expected time, share timing, rented hashrate, and budget-based solo mining scenarios. It does not model electricity, hardware depreciation, hosting, or tax treatment.

Core probability model

Every block calculator uses the same Poisson model: λ = (your hashrate ÷ network hashrate) × (time window ÷ average block time), then P(≥1 block) = 1 − e−λ. The model shows the probability of finding at least one block in the selected window, not a guaranteed payout schedule.

A useful benchmark is λ = 1. At that point your elapsed time matches the statistically expected time to block, but probability is still only 1 − e−1 ≈ 63.2%, not 100%.

Data and privacy

Network hashrate and USD prices are fetched server-side from public data providers, cached for 60 seconds. MiningOdds has no accounts, no cookies, no analytics, and stores only your theme preference in localStorage.
