The mining calculator starts from hashrate and returns probability. This page starts from probability and solves for the required hashrate.

MiningOdds first computes λ = −ln(1 − P), then converts that λ into the hashrate share needed for the selected block time and time window.

At λ = 1, the probability of success is only about 63.2%. That is why expected time should not be confused with guaranteed time to block.
